FSA Cards
FSA Cards May Be Used At Any Register
If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) with your employer, you'll be glad to know that you can now use your FSA Card to pay for eligible health related products at any register in our stores.
What is a Flexible Spending Account (FSA)?
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA's) are a benefit offered by many companies that allows you to contribute pre-tax dollars from your paycheck to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses. These may include medical deductibles, prescription purchases, insurance co-pays and eligible health related product purchases.*
*Program regulations and rules vary. Check with your health care provider for complete details as to what qualifies as an eligible purchase under your plan.
How do I use my card to pay for purchases?
It's quick and easy, and there's no need to sort out eligible purchases from the rest of your order. When you check out, simply use your FSA card as a debit card to pay for your eligible purchases. (Eligible health related product purchases will be designated with an "H" on your register receipt.) You may then use another form of payment to pay for the remaining balance of your order.
What are eligible FSA over the counter health related products?
As of January 2008, you may now use your FSA card to pay for certain over the counter health related products. Here are just a few categories that contain products that may be eligible:
- Allergy Medications
- Analgesics
- Antibiotics
- Antihistamines
- Asthma Medicines
- Cold & Flu Remedies
- Cough Suppressants
- Eye Care
- Foot Care
- Smoking Cessation Products
If you should have questions about your FSA program and/or payment eligibility, contact your employer or health care provider.
