Welcome to the 2009-2010 A+ Bonus Bucks Program.
Giant is proud to offer our A+ Bonus Bucks program to help our community schools. Now parents and other supporters can earn great awards for schools to use as they choose!
What It Is
How It Works
A+ BonusBucks are rounded per transaction to the nearest whole dollar amount. At the end of each month,
each school's dollar amount is determined
which is then automatically credited to its account.

If you have a Giant Card
After signing up for the Giant Card, customers can support local school(s) (up to three).
Register Your CardRe-Register Your School
All Participating schools must re-register every year. You will need your ID and Password in order to Re-register your school. Please call the A+ Bonus Bucks Hotline at 1-877-ASK-APLUS (1-877-275-2758) if you do not have this information.
Re-Register Your SchoolEnroll a New School
Schools must enroll to participate. School administrators should visit www.giantfood.com/aplus or contact our A+ BonusBucks Hotline at 1-877-ASK-APLUS (1-877-275-2758). All public, private and parochial schools grades K - 12 are eligible to participate, as well as homeschools. The program is not open to pre-school, day care/after care centers and other non-profit organizations.

Deadline: February 15, 2010
Giant is calling all "budding artists" in grades K through 5! Let the artist choose... use pencils, crayons, markers or paint to depict how your school could use the A+ Bonus Bucks you earn. All entries will be reviewed and five finalists from grades K-2 and five finalists from grades 3-5 will be selected.
How to Enter:
Create a drawing/painting on how your school could use their A+ Bonus Bucks (Print artist's first name, school name/address/phone number and teacher/grade level on the back of your entry). Entry must be on an 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper, no photographs, and mailed to: "A+ Bonus Bucks Art Contest" c/o Crane Communications, Inc., 111 Presidential Blvd., Ste. 252, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. All entries must be postmarked by 12 midnight February 15, 2010.
Prizes:
Finalists and Winners will be posted on the web on or around March 2nd. One (1) Grand Prize winner from K-2 group and one (1) winner from 3-5 group will receive a $100 Savings Bond, a "Classroom Party" ($100 Giant Gift Card to purchase party food and supplies), PLUS 2500 A+ Bonus Bucks Points for their school. Each of the remaining eight (8) Finalists' school will receive 1,000 A+ Bonus Bucks Points for their school.
Submit your drawing by February 15th. Make sure you Print child's first name, school name/address/phone number and teacher/grade level on the back of your entry.

Writing Contest
Enter the A+ Bonus Bucks Writing Contest
The Writing Contest will begin on 01/04/2010 and end on 02/15/2010
To participate, entrants must write a letter to the President of the United States answering the question:
"What would you want President Obama to do in the area of education that will benefit your school?"
Print student's first name and grade level (Only grades 6-12 are eligible to participate), school name/address/telephone number on the back of the entry. Entry must be at least 250 words (maximum 500 words) on standard white 8 1/2" x 11" paper (no photographs).
All letters should be e-mailed to Askaplus@cranecommunications.com, faxed to 610-617-3557 or mailed with sufficient first class postage to:

The Principal Challenge
Six original and creative Principal Challenges were selected as winners and must be completed no later than March 25th, 2010. If the challenge is fulfilled, the school will receive the greater of $1,000 or double the school's points for the month of November:
