A+ BonusBucks are points that accrue with each purchase using the BonusCard. (Please note: Gift cards, pharmacy, alcohol and/or cigarette purchases are excluded from accruing points.) At the end of each month, the A+ BonusBucks are used in a calculation to determine your school's cash total, which, then, is automatically credited to your school's account. Customers can designate a school(s) (up to three) to benefit from the A+ BonusBucks that accrue.

After signing up for the BonusCard, customers can support local school(s) (up to three) to benefit from the A+ BonusBucks Program by choosing the "Designate Schools" link from the menu on this page, or by completing a Designation Card at your Giant Customer Service Desk.

Customers can designate up to three schools to benefit from the program. A+ BonusBucks are divided equally among each designated school. To ensure all schools receive proper A+ BonusBucks credit when designating multiple schools, include EACH school's ID code on one Designation Card. Each time you complete a Designation Card in a program year, you must include ALL schools (up to three) that you want to designate even if you have previously designated them. Filling out multiple designation cards will negate all previous designations.

Yes, you MUST designate your school every year. In order to perform critical maintenance applications to our A+ database, we clear out all of the designations in our system at the end of the program each year. These updates ensure that the correct school receives your points. This simple effort on the part of each supporter is the only step necessary each year for your school to begin earning their points and CASH through A+ BonusBucks!

Schools are required to register at the beginning of each program year. Over the summer, all previously participating schools were sent information regarding the registration process. Please contact your school Principal or A+ Coordinator to remind them to register for this year's program. Only registered schools will receive checks for A+ BonusBucks awards earned during the 2006 - 2007 program.

Each shopping visit, A+ BonusBucks are rounded per transaction to the nearest whole dollar amount. For example: if a customer's bill totaled at $3.49, it would earn three A+ BonusBucks for their designated school. If a customers shopping bill was $8.69, it would earn his or her school nine A+ BonusBucks. At the end of each month, each school's dollar amount is determined using the following equation:

Once your school receives the check, it's up to the school to decide the best way to use it. It could be used to purchase computers, buy new cheerleading uniforms, band instruments, or other useful educational equipment.

The program begins October 5, 2007 and runs through April 3, 2008.

To earn Extra Credit for your school, just look for specially marked Extra Credit items. With each Extra Credit purchase using the BonusCard, you can earn an extra 50 A+ BonusBucks.

Extra Credit products always are specially marked throughout the store, with their Extra Credit values. Updated lists of Extra Credit products are available, in any Giant store and on the A+ BonusBucks location on the Giant Website.

The Extra Credit products change every two weeks.

Schools must enroll to participate in the A+ BonusBucks Program. Please have your school administrator visit www.giantfood.com/aplus or contact our A+ BonusBucks Hotline at 1-877-ASK-APLUS (1-877-275-2758) to find out how they can enroll in our program. Keep in mind that all public, private and parochial schools grades K - 12 are eligible to participate, as well as homeschools. (The program is not open to pre-school or after-care centers.)
